I have an announcement...

This February, Mr. Free and I are expecting a little miracle!!!

I've been so quiet this summer because we wanted to wait to share our news with the world until we made it to the Second Trimester.
And truly, all I did this summer was sleep!

We are currently 13 weeks and so far, all is well. We've been monitored by the RE until we "graduated" after our 12 week sonogram.

It appears, thus far, that Femara and Prometrium were what we needed!

Here's some pics of our little LoveBug.

6 weeks
8 weeks
10 weeks

12 weeks

Mr. Free and I have truly felt each and every prayer. We have been so blessed to be surrounding by such caring people.

To be honest, I'm thrilled to be this far along, but I'm still very nervous. Any prayers you have to spare that this little one will arrive safely and healthy would be much appreciated!

My next appointment is in 3 weeks with my regular OB, which I'll be 16 weeks.

We've met with the regular OB once, at 11 weeks and got to hear the heartbeat on the doppler!
It was amazing to hear!
Nice and strong at 166 bpm!
We had never made it that far before.

Around 20 weeks we will be getting a quad and level II ultrasound, as diabetic moms run the risk of their babies having heart defects.

Luckily, my blood sugar has been in tight control, which technically puts our baby at the same risk as an other baby, but I will be monitored anyways.

And since I didn't blog my way through the 1st tri, here's a short recap:
Tired. Needed 1-2 naps daily. Praise the Lord it was summer vacation!
No food sounded good.
Except for KFC Chicken strips, mashed potatoes and biscuit.
Desserts sounded AWFUL! If you know me...you know that is truly not me in my normal state.
Anxiety was a companion through out, but each appointment made her shrink a bit.
I think I cooked twice. The whole summer. Yikes.

That's it! On to second tri!

For those wondering.... we are Team Green.
No pink or blue for us until February!
We are excited for such an amazing surprise!

Hopefully I will be much more regular around here, now that I'm gaining that 2nd tri energy!

Plus I'm excited to share my journey with you as we prepare for this little blessing!

Thank you all again for all your prayers!!!

  1. Congratulations! That is awesome! Hopefully the rest of your pregnancy is smooth. February will be here soon enough, the first trimester is soo slow, but the rest goes by fast. And it will go be even faster since you are back working. Team Green is the way to go, it was so exciting to wait, and once Leo was born hearing Jeff say 'it's a boy' was wonderful. Congrats again!

  2. Thanks so much Megan! I'm praying the next 6 months fly by! And Leo is precious by the way! Also, are you cloth diapering?

  3. Yes I am! and it is great! It really is super easy. Let me know if you want information on what kinds I use and stuff.

  4. Yay!! I was hoping and praying that was the reason for your silence! Congratulations!! :)

  5. Miracle, indeed. Congratulations and blessings to you and Brian!

  6. Wow, that is amazing news, congratulations to you both!

  7. Congratulations! So happy for you both!! I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes smoothly.

I already saw a couple of your nursery pins on Pinterest - adorable!! Can't wait to see what you do.

  8. Congratulations!!! That is SO exciting!!! I had a feeling something might be going on since you hadn't blogged in a while! I'm going in for an endometrial biopsy today and I'm hoping my RE comes up with the same plan yours did and hopefully I'll be able to share my own happy news! Congrats again! =)

  9. Jenny,
I seriouslly can't stop thinking about how excited I am for you two!!! I love that you're team green--we are too! I'm certain it will be the best surprise ever. I'm glad you had the summer to take it easy. That first trimester is killer; I've never felt more tired and sick in my life--my whole relationship with food changed as well. I will continue to pray for you two and your little "lovebug."

  10. Thank you everyone for the sweet messages! Your support and prayers mean SO much to us!

  11. Congrats, Jenny! I hope you're feeling okay!

I love comments! Thanks for leaving me one! I read each and everyone one! xoxo Jenny Free
