Fall Fashion

OK, I know 'technically' Fall doesn't begin til later in the month.
But to me, Fall is September-November and Winter begins Dec. 1.
I think whoever decided the seasons did it wrong.

So anyways, today a cold front went through and I got to wear tights with my sundress today!
I LOVE tights!
I LOVE fall!
Plus my classroom is pretty cold. Double bonus.

Has anyone else seen the Silly Bandz trend?
It is HUGE at my school!

At first I thought they were super dumb....
Then Mr. Free and I started talking about them...

And...

We went and bought some tonight.

I totally plan on being the cool teacher tomorrow. : )

What I'm loving right now...

My new Almond Candle from Covington Creek Candles

It smells *just* like Method's Wood for Good wood floor cleaner. Every time I mop, Mr. Free and I both say, "I wish we had a candle that smelled like that!". I found it! You can order from them through Etsy. They have probably 50 different scents!
They are soy candles (which means they burn cleaner) and are made from all USA ingredients. They also include a tube of organic all-natural homemade peppermint lip balm with your order! It is amazing!!!

Tom's of Maine Crystal Confidence Deodorant

In our effort to live as naturally and simply as possible, I re-evaluated my deodorant. I normally buy the $.97 Suave deodorant and anti-perspirant. As I did more and more research about the possible link to breast cancer and other hormone disorders due to the aluminum and parabens in conventional anti-perspirants, I decided to make the switch. So far, in the Missouri heat, Tom's has done wonderful! The price isn't horrible either... $2.49 at Target.

Big flower rings

I used to be very monogamous to my ring wear-age. I always thought I would ONLY wear my wedding ring. Another ring would just distract from the beautiful ring my dear husband gave to me.
Well....after 3 years, I'm thinking of branching out.
These gorgeous and fun rings would look so cute on my right hand....

Organizing

If you've been following my blog, you've seen my recent organizational kick.
I found a great new-ish blog called I Heart Organizing.
Her pictures are beautiful and definitely inspirational!

Real Simple magazine

I snagged one of those $5 yearly subscriptions to it on Amazon a couple of months ago. I LOVE getting magazines, but they are usually so expensive! At $5 a year? The Free household can afford that....

iPhone 4

They are simply amazing pieces of machinery. Mr. Free and I watched the 2 hour keynote speech about them and fell head over heels. We then promptly went around the house and scrounged up items we no longer use to sell on Craigslist for our iphone fund. We just about have enough! We haven't had iphones before, but we are totally stoked!!!

Sundresses

Now that it's warm, and I'm a 'bigger' girl than I've ever been....sundresses are the perfect solution. They are cute, keep you cool and hide problem areas. Woohoo!

b:2 a Burger Boutique

I can safely say that this is one of our favorite restaurants. From their gourmet burgers, to amazing truffle fries and our favorite milkshakes in town, its definitely worth a stop. If we weren't on such a tight budget, we would be there weekly...
I totally know I've mentioned them before, I'm just super hungry and a burger sound uh-mazing.

Alright Readers, what are you loving right now?

I love skinny jeans.

Even though I don't have the 'typical skinny-jean body type' I love them.
I truly believe, curvy girls can rock them too.
They are sooo stinkin' comfy.
If you dare to take the plunge, I highly recommend you check these out at JC Penney.
They are amazing.
No fly....they just pull on!
**warning: Sometimes I forget to zip up my other pants because I get so used to these bad boys...so always X.Y.Z (X-amine Your Zipper...)***
What do YOU think about skinny jeans....yay or nay??

Glassmatazz Art

I have to give a shout out to this wonderful and creative company!

Mr. Free's aunt and good friend own Glassmatazz, making fused glass jewelry. Their pendants are absolutely beautiful.

Each one is handcrafted and a work of art in and of itself. Plus they are affordable. We all know that usually handmade art isn't cheap. These pieces you also get to wear! Bonus!

For my birthday, Mr. Free's aunt gave me FOUR pendants!!! I was on cloud nine! They are so beautiful!
(The one pictured above is one she gave me for my birthday. I wore it today and got at least a dozen compliments!)

Please check out their website. Their work is amazing and you can even order online. They are a local company working from their homes in Overland Park.

Every time I wear a pendant I get a ton of compliments.

AND you know no one else will be wearing the same jewelry as you. They make wonderful gifts.

Thanks again Aunt Ree! Your jewelry is SO beautiful!!!

A Fresh Start.

Time to kick this thing in gear...new year, new start. (Though, it's 20 days into the new year, and I'm just now starting..... oh well, I digress...)
I hope everyone had a good, snowy holiday. Mine was fabulous, but returning back to normalcy is a great thing too

Today I got to use one of my gift cards from Christmas and ordered this amazing sweater from Ruche

I got the very last one too!!!
Thank you Katie for the thoughtful Christmas gift!!!

I got another great Christmas present from my Mom that I'd like to share. I'm a latte' junkie, and like everyone knows, those things sure add up! So my mom got me this awesome stovetop espresso maker. After looking at reviews, this seemed like the best bang for its money. My kitchen is TINY so an actual espresso MACHINE did not make sense for me. This little beauty makes wonderful espresso and is perfect in our tiny kitchen!

To use it, you just fill the bottom with water:

Then the next section with coarsely ground espresso (of course I use Benetti's.....keep it local!)

Then just screw on the top, set it on the stovetop on low heat and about 10 minutes later, you have fresh espresso!!!

I like my latte's iced, so my current recipe is as follows:
* Fill a cup with a bit of Shatto Chocolate Milk
* Pour in a little vanilla syrup
* Pour in fresh espresso
* Stir and combine
* Pour ice over liquid and enjoy!!!

Hopefully I'll get better with this whole blogging thing and have more to contribute more frequently. : ) Happy Wednesday!

So in love.....

....with this website.

Thanks to bryn alexandra for tipping me off to this wonderful online store!
They are so reasonably priced for how great their clothes are, and they're eco-friendly!
Here are some looks I love:

If Santa were to put a gift certificate in my stocking, I would be a happy girl. : )

I LOVE TARGET

Thursdays after work, while Mr. Free is still at school, have turned into my 'Target Time'. I just wander around a look at all of the lovely things my local Target has to offer.
Well today, they had some AWESOME clearance!!
First off, I found this awesome, super comfy skirt for a mere $3.74! I snatched it up!
Then I found this nice lightly scented candle with sticks of bamboo in it.

The price for it????

Yup, just $1.74.

And those are 2 of the millions of reasons that I love Target.

Fall fashion....JCrew style

I have never set foot in a J. Crew. I always thought they had boring clothes. Don't know why....guess I just assumed.
Well, I am wrong.
Their new fall stuff is amazing. But crazy expensive. : ( Here's a few looks that I love and hope to pull off WAY cheaper.

First post!!!

I decided to fully jump into the blogging world! I have had an on-again off-again relationship for a year or so, but decided to fully commit.

This blog will be a real picture of myself, my thoughts, and projects I am currently working on. I will feature inspiring home decor, entertaining ideas, and fashion talk.

A little about myself.... I am a 24 (almost 25.....ahhh!!!) wife of 2 years, married to the most amazing, fun, artistic, creative, godly man. I am a music teacher and am in my second year teaching as well. This summer I began my Master's degree in education and will finish next March! My husband is currently in school to become an art teacher. (Can you imagine our kids? They will be hopelessly creative...) I absolutely love my job and working with children. Another great passion of mine is interior design and fashion. As we currently live on a single teaching salary and both of us are in school, you can imagine the funds for such interests are incredibly limited. However, this enables me to use my creativity!
Mr. Free and I are the proud parents to two basset hounds (Carl, 6 and Harriet 4), as well as an orange tabby (Otis, 3). We are big animal lovers. Obviously....there are more animals in our home than humans!

Thanks for reading this and I hope that you can find a sliver of inspiration here. Either with your wardrobe, your home or your life.

God bless!!!

Here's a sneak peak at my new favorite color and an awesome coat I would love to rock for the fall!
